Review | Linden Leaves New Zealand Skincare | Porcelain Brightening Serum

Hey, loves. I'm back with another skin care review. This review is for the New Zealand-based all-natural, cruelty-free skin care line called, Linden Leaves. Linden Leaves was kind enough to send me a few items to test and give my honest opinion about each of the products they sent. First, a little bit about Linden Leaves from their website:

The first product that I will review is the Porcelain Brightening Serum. It is infused with organic white tea and wild daisy flower extract. The serum is suitable for all skin types, so that's a plus. My skin can be so indecisive sometimes. Over the summer it was a little bit more oily than it usually is, and now, in the winter, it's extremely dry and easily irritated. So, having something suitable for all skin types is always a plus in my book.

The packing is clean, simple, and pretty. I appreciate that they describe that the box is 100% natural and recyclable. I also appreciate that the box lists the benefits of the ingredients of the serum. The company claims that each ingredient claims to whiten dark pigmentation, even skin tone, lighten and brighten the skin, while protecting, regenerating, and minimizing signs of aging.

Linden Leaves suggests that the serum be applied to the face and neck before moisturizing or blended in with a moisturizer before applying. I decided to use it as a base for my moisturizer. I can't say that the serum has that many moisturizing properties, either. So I wouldn't recommend using this alone. It doesn't have much a fragrance, although it does have a somewhat of a medicinal, herbal smell that is pleasant.

The serum pumps out as a cream with a semi-thick consistency. It feels like any other normal facial cream, and sets into the skin pretty quickly. I don't have dark pigmentation or skin unevenness; however, I am all for brightening and minimizing signs of aging! At first, I didn't notice much of a difference after the first week. So, I decided to give it a while to see if I noticed any changes over time. After about a month or so, I noticed that my skin was visibly brighter and that my skin had that subtle and natural "glow from within" look underneath my makeup.

I've been using this serum for a couple of months now, and I really enjoy it when I want that extra boost!
