FOTD & Tutorial | Gunmetal Smokey Eye

Hey girl haaaaaaaay!
Happy Friday!! :)
I have to preface this post with a quote that I found on Pinterest. Do whatever it is you are passionate about. No matter what it is. There will always be haters, Debbie-Downers, and Bitter-Bettys.
Doing what you love is one of the best things about life.

Gunmetal Smokey Eye
Please forgive the photo quality. New camera coming soon!

This look is perfect for a night out with the girls or a sexy date night.
You can use any colors that you like in any finishes. I wanted to try something a little different with a different technique to step out of my comfort zone and make the eyes bigger and their natural color pop!

How-To: Eyes
- Line the upper lash line with L'Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner. Create a small wing.

- Smudge the eyeliner all over the lid to the crease. Smoke it out at the crease.

- Place Elf's Baked eye shadow in Dusk all over the lid up to the crease with a wet medium/large eye shadow brush (I used a BH Cosmetics shadow brush and MAC Fix+). Leave the wing black.

- Blend Buck from the Naked 1 Palette into the crease and slightly above Dusk using windshield wiper motions (I used Coastal Scents Pro Blending Brush - Dupe for MAC 217).

- With that same brush, take Naked from that same palette and blend into and above Buck, right below the brow bone.

- Blend out any harsh lines with a clean blending brush. Don't blend too much. We don't want to muddle any of the colors.

- Using the other side of that medium/large eye shadow brush, wet it with Fix+, and pat Gunmetal from the Naked Palette in the center of the lid.

- Take a pencil brush (I used a BH Cosmetics pencil brush) and drag the black eye liner from the wing to the middle of the lower lash line.

- With the same medium/large eye shadow brush, drag Dusk and Gunmetal across the lower lash line. Leave the inner corner open.

- Use the Pro Blending Brush to place Buck and Naked slightly below the Dusk and Gunmetal to soften the look.

- Use a stiff dome brush to smoke out the lower lash line (I used Makeup Geek's Smokey Eye Brush).

- With a small eye shadow brush (I used a BH Cosmetics small eye shadow brush), place Virgin from the Naked 1 Palette on the brow bone.

- Take a small angled brush (I used a BH Cosmetics small angled brush) and place Revolt from the Urban Decay Electric Palette on the inner corner and inner thirds of the upper and lower lash lines.

- Use a makeup wipe to clean up any fall out or to sharpen the look.

- Line the waterline and tight-line with L'Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner.

- Curl your eye lashes.

- Apply your favorite lengthening and volumizing mascara.

- Apply false eye lashes (optional).

Have a wonderful weekend!!
Love you!!
