Review | Falsies from Born Pretty Store

Hey there loves!

I know... it's been SO long since I've reviewed any products, or even posted for that matter. For the past few months, I've been busy with school and going through some changes in my personal life. As a result, I've been taking all of the time that I can get to myself just to get it together. Well, enough about that. I've got a review for you ladies. Born Pretty Store sent me a few items to review and today I'll be reviewing some beautiful false lashes.

First, a little bit about Born Pretty Store:

"BPS Import & Export Co., Ltd was set up in 2010. Over the past three years, it has developed rapidly from a store merely selling nail art items to a shop mainly selling beauty items including nail art items and cosmetics, accessorizes, cell phone cases, etc. The original inspiration of the name born pretty store comes from proverb “each woman is born pretty”. Combining the aim of providing beauty items to the female, we incorporated it into the name “born pretty”store. Bornprettystore is a store intended to provide each ordinary female, whoever they are, wherever they come from, with the latest fashion items of nail art, make up and outfit, helping them find the best way to dress up, which ultimately push outside their potential beauty to the fullest."

These bold and flirty lashes come at you at $5.45 a pack. Essentially $1/pair. You can't beat that. They are fluffy and soft with a thick, black band that can easily fit to the shape of your eye. The lashes have criss cross hairs and are handmade. When I was taking the lashes out of the package, I noticed that the black band extended further than the lashes so that the hairs aren't damaged or become disfigured by the tape. It's a little ugly at first, but I just cut those pieces right off and 'problem solved!
One of my favorite things about these lashes is that they flare out for a natural, flirty look that open my eyes right up. I love when lashes have a flared out look for a big cat-eye effect.
I used Duo Eyelash Adhesive to apply the lashes. Since I'm not a pro at applying false lashes yet, I had a little bit of an issue with getting them to take the shape of my eye because the band was so soft. I think it was more of a user malfunction, though. After application, they stayed put and looked beautiful. The staying-power all depends on the kind of lash glue that you use.

For the look below, I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and enter into the world of color! I've been gravitating towards the green shades in the Urban Decay's Electric Palette lately. I wanted to create a look that turned the lashes from flirty to sexy cat-eye.

Now on to the look...
Help me name it!!

I used Freak on the outer and inner thirds of the lid and smudged on the lower lash line; Thrash in the middle of the lid; Fringe in the crease; and Revolt in the inner corner from the Electric Palette. I also used Naked 2 as a transitional color in the crease; Faint and Crave in the outer V to create a smoky effect; and Venus for the brow bone highlight from the Naked Basics Palette.
For the rest of the eye, I used Lancôme's Artliner in Noir for the cat-eye liner. NYX's Glossy Black Liner in the water line and smudged on the lower lash line. Too Faced Better than Sex mascara on the top and lower lashes. For the brows, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Brunette and Clear Brow Gel.
To get rid of those pesky dark circles for this look, I used Bare Minerals BareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation in Bare Nude 09.

Please excuse my red eyes!!
