I've got a review for you ladies. Born Pretty Store sent me a few items to review and today I'll be reviewing this cute little eyeshadow palette.
First, a little bit about Born Pretty Store:
"BPS Import & Export Co., Ltd was set up in 2010. Over the past three years, it has developed rapidly from a store merely selling nail art items to a shop mainly selling beauty items including nail art items and cosmetics, accessorizes, cell phone cases, etc.
The original inspiration of the name born pretty store comes from proverb “each woman is born pretty”. Combining the aim of providing beauty items to the female, we incorporated it into the name “born pretty”store. Bornprettystore is a store intended to provide each ordinary female, whoever they are, wherever they come from, with the latest fashion items of nail art, make up and outfit, helping them find the best way to dress up, which ultimately push outside their potential beauty to the fullest."
Note: Although these items were sent to me by BornPrettyStore.com, any and all opinions are 100% my own.
Born Pretty Store offers four different sets of these little palettes for #3.99 each. Check out the other palettes, here. Each palette includes four colors, a dual-ended sponge applicator, and a small mirror. The mirror is a little too small for my taste, but it is definitely useful for touch-ups. I just love the gold, metallic packaging that it came in. Makes me feel like I've really got something special.
I couldn't find any names for the shadows so I will describe them. From left to right, a deep copper color, a golden brown color, a bronze color, and a deep brown color. Each shadow is metallic with a slight shimmer that reflects light beautifully. Upon swatching, I couldn't believe how soft they are. It was incredibly easy for pick up color. One swipe of your brush or finger and you've got plenty of color to work with. They are super pigmented, blendable, and compliment every skin and eye color.
I fell completely in love with each color and their pigmentation.
I loved how each shadow applied where and how I wanted with a minimal amount of fallout. The colors were so pigmented that they reminded me of the Lorac Pro Palette's pigmentation. I noticed a tiny bit of creasing after about 4 or 5 hours, though.
I created a look to help show each of the colors and how they look when they are used without primer.
Lid: First Shade
Crease: Second Shade
Outer "V": Fourth Shade
Lower Lash Line: Second and Third Shade
Inner Corner: Second Shade
My final verdict?
The shadows compliment each other well. They are beautiful, soft, and are offered at such a small price. You can't beat $3.99 a pop for shadows that can stand up to the pigmentation of Lorac's Pro Palette. Minimal creasing began around 4 or 5 hours after application without primer, which isn't something that bothers me. The shadows blended with ease and where ever I applied them, they stayed. The only gripe I have about this product is the mirror is just too small for me. It's nice for small touch-ups, but not really my cup of tea when fully applying my makeup.
